Tai Nero's Choco of Rivale

Postby Stellen » Mon Jul 12, 2010 2:36 pm

Just wanted to leave my sympathy for my man Tai Nero. Unfortunately, this morning he lost his dog Rivale's Choco PDC. I haven't seen anyone more determined or dedicated to his dog than Tai in training to achieve a PSA1 with his Cane Corso. I've seen people attempt it once, fail and walk away forever. The last 2 years without fail Tai and Choco show up for trial and get it in. This is just pure character shown by Tai and Choco, earlier this year at the Stafford trial they achieved a PDC certificate under Jerry Bradshaw, in which I was a witness to and was very proud of them, they showed in good fashion. After watching him work yesterday morning, I felt he was another step closer to a PSA1, he would of achieved that goal later this year or the following year for sure, unfortunately Choco has been taken away at the mere age of 3.5 years. Choco my man...I salute you! R.I.P.

Today, has been very humbling day for me. I think sometimes we take for granted that our dogs will be around for as long as we want them to be. Plans on getting them titled and retired to a couch doesnt always go as planned. At the end of the day, our dogs are our pets! Appreciate them for however long they their lives and what we ask them to do for us (run down field into a maniacal decoy time after time). This isn't an easy task for any dog to do...it takes special people and special dogs to play this evil thing of ours called PSA. Appreciate him every day, ESPECIALLY on trial day ..win or lose...pass or fail!

You say that very well, Morris. I think all too often we forget that, at the end of the day, our dogs should be our lives...they should hold our heart no matter what happens on the field or off the field....

We put so much emphasis on titling sometimes that we forget that we owe it to our dogs to always adore them...
