Trial, April 10th 11th in Sanford.

I'm going to head down and watch the trials. I think it will give me a good idea of what i need to be doing wth my dog. My question is this, who do I need to contact to be able to shoot the event? I do photography on the side and I want to take pictures while down there. It wouldn't bother me to much but I would stick out like a sore thumb, walking around with my Canon 1D MKII body, and a Canon 400 f/2.8 lens on a monopd.

You can always shoot from the side...you don't need to ask anyone to do that!

Thanks, thats what I was going to do. Just didn't know if I needed to do anything. Never been to a trial before and as I said I will stick out like a sore thumb with the camera and lens .

No, you won't...I'm one of the people who takes pictures at trials (but I'm a Nikon snob)...I just try to stay out of the way...

Your on the dark side I see ;) Good, I'm assuming by the calender that the trials are going to be held at Tarheel? I'm trying to see about motels, so I'm figuring on a general idea of where it will be and where I need to stay.

They won't be at Tarheel...they will be at a field very close to Tarheel (within a mile)...

And, yes, I'm on the darkside...

I'll probably be at that trial...showing in the 3's...I don't know if I'll be shooting that trial, however...depends on when I have my shoulder surgery....

Ok, I'll get the address and just plan to stay somewhere near Tarheel. If your there then give me a shout, shouldn't be able to miss me as I'll be using this;

Cool...yeah...I shoot with the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens...

Can't miss me either as I'll be on the trial field
