I'm Maren and I'm quite new to PSA, but enjoying it so far. Glad to meet some folks last weekend at our St. Louis trial, it was a lot of fun! I came from a little bit of a Schutzhund background (trained for a little over a year with a Mal/GSD cross who is now living with a friend of mine and is a very good herding dog) and I'm not a Sch hater, but it's more fun I think. I'm a fourth year vet student at the University of Missouri and I'm hoping to get board certified in nutrition for sure and possibly rehab/sports medicine as well. So yeah, I'll never leave school.
Anyways, I love dabbling with my dogs as I hope to get a better appreciation of what working and performance dogs have to do to train and I LOVE versatility in a good dog, so here's a little of what we all have fun in. Fawkes (Ordre du Phenix du Dantero) CGC, TT (3 y/o Malinois): PSA, herding, dock diving, disc
Lily (rescue dog) CGC, TT, DSA, TDI, PALS cert therapy dog (5 y/o Malinois): PSA, herding, retired therapy dog
Elsa (rescue dog) CGC, PALS cert therapy dog (10 y/o Rottweiler): herding, therapy
Buck (rescue dog) CGC (14 y/o Siberian husky/Rottweiler): just a pet :-)
